ALEXANDRA HULME has been a creator, performer and artist since the beginning.  Creating her own shows and performing since the age of 3, her career has led her to work in both American and International films, on stage, and on TV.

Alexandra’s wide ranging talent and experience in front of and behind the camera has made her a sought after creative in the Entertainment Industry.  She’s been known to wear many hats:  producer, director, host, choreographer, actress, dancer, writer, editor, artist.

 

Alexandra’s TV credits include:  GIRLS, GLEE, Goliath, Ratched, Dead To Me, CLAWS, The Blacklist, SMASH, Hit The Floor, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and most recently played a Laker Girl on the new HBO Series, “Winning Time.”

 

Her film credits include:  (500) Days of Summer, Annie, Kids Vs. Monsters, A Glimpse Inside the mind of Charles Swan III, GLEE:  The 3D Concert Movie, and international films The Black Gloves, The Devil’s Machine, Azure and Lord of Tears. She won best female lead at the Bram Stoker International Film Festival for her work in the film Lord of Tears.  She plays the lead role of ‘Destiny’ in Sundance/SXSW short films Morgan M. Morgansens Date with Destiny and Morgan and Destiny’s Eleventeeth Date opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Channing Tatum. Most recently you saw Alexandra on the big screen in the film, Don’t Worry Darling.

 

Onstage:  Alexandra had the unique opportunity to play “Julie Andrews” in the opening production of the Gypsy Awards choreographed by Michael Rooney.  She performed in Slava’s Snowshow at Le 13eme Art in Paris, France.  She has performed in live stage shows with Katy Perry, GLEE US/UK tour, the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, NYE at Radio City Music Hall, Harlow Gold, Blind Tiger, Rouge Cabaret, Big Willie’s Burlesque, The NBA Madness Tour and the NBA Finals.  She worked as an associate to Joshua Bergasse choreographing Broadway Bound Musicals in NYC, including Guys & Dolls at Carnegie Hall starring Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally. 

 

Her Commercial Clients include: Disney, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Chevrolet, Ford, Schick, Chipotle, Sonic, Doritos, Chuck E. Cheese, Gamestop, At Home, Mary Kay, Vanity Fair and Benefit Cosmetics.  She’s created promos for Hairspray Live, Monday Night Football, and a cross promo for the film “Isn’t it Romantic” starring The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

 

As a creator and entertainer, Alexandra aspires and inspires to create from the heart. When not on a production, in the studio or on stage, Alexandra is working on creative projects of her own. She has directed, choreographed, starred in short films Mariah’s Lollipop and The Nutcracked and most recently a quirky adventure film titled after her father, The Yuma Dentist. Her most recent film, It’s Amazing The Things That Float, is a part of her Project MUSE48 which is an ongoing exploration of her directing work.


Mixing her skills of choreography, dance and visual art — Alexandra continues to find new ways to tell stories with her filmmaking.  The NYTimes writes about film Mariah’s Lollipop (co-directed with Celia Rowlson-Hall) : “instead of singing there’s whimsical dancing. The seven-minute fantasy number has a touch of Jacques Demy.” 


Alexandra continues to find new ways to merge her love of movement and cinema, creating exciting visuals, grounded with an honest heartbeat.  Her work continues to evolve and weaves between art house to more commercial to a style entirely her own.  Alexandra is currently based in Austin, Texas with her golden retriever “Lucky” and is focused on creating new work(s) for film, television and stage. In her free time you’ll find her teaching or practicing yoga, social dancing, painting, cooking and exploring nature all around her beautiful home state of Texas.
